Conscious and Subconscious

Your mind is a beautiful tool, use it to get anything you desire.

Conscious: rational, objective thinking

Subconscious: irrational, subjective thinking

We think through the conscious and it trickles down into the subconscious. Therefore, if you think evil evil will follow. If you think good, good will follow!

The conscious uses the 5 senses, it is always observing and processing information.

The subconscious uses intuition. This is like your breathing or blood pumping, you don't really think about it, it just performs.

The conscious is like the "gatekeeper". It has the ability to reject or accept ideas and thoughts. I like how James Allen put it in, As a man thinketh, he talks about what you sow you will reap.

If you want to change your subconscious you just need repetition of constructive, harmonious thoughts. This is the seat of habit.

There are many stories of people who have used the power of repeating positive and harmonious thoughts to literally eradicate disease or sickness from their bodies.

People use the subconscious to attain large sums of money, or to change the world for people.

When you place something into the conscious, or feed it information, the subconscious will use your past experiences, learning, and skills to acquire it. Many historic people have come up with their best inventions or ideas while they were sleeping. They planted the thought of an idea in their conscious and while they slept their subconscious came up with the answers.

This is a tool you can use to acquire anything you desire.

Autosuggestion: Napoleon Hill breaks this down into an easily digestible 3 step process.

1-Fix your mind. Be aware of what you feed your brain

2-Write it down. There is a subconscious power to writing down thoughts.

3-Read the statement twice daily (morning and night)

Did you know the subconscious is most impressionable when you first wake up? This is because it is operating at 10.5 wave cycles, which makes it the most impressionable throughout the entire day.

Negative Suggestion:

These are, "I can't", "I won't", "I'll fail", "it's no use", "I'm too fat", "I'm too skinny", "you're too old", "you're too young" statements.

If you are able to diminish these from your conscious then you can replace them with the positive alternative!

My 4 big takeaways on the conscious and subconscious:

1-Think good and good follows. Think bad and bad follows.

2-Power of choice. You can choose happiness and health or you can choose misery and poverty. The choice is always yours.

3-Peoples words CAN hurt us. But you have the power to accept or reject their words.

4-Watch what you say, it will trickle through the conscious (gatekeeper) into the subconscious

For example, you could be on a voyage with a friend. If you are coasting along the water and your friend is looking uneasy you may say, "you look like you will be sea sick". In their limited experience of traveling on a ship, they may run to the bathroom or curl over the edge to hurl into the sea from sea sickness. You could tell one of the crewmen the same thing and they would laugh in your face! Yes their experience may be different but it is the acceptance or rejection of the thought at all by the conscious gatekeeper.

I hope you are able to use this tool to change and empower your life moving forward!
